Menopause Specialist
Outside of work, I am a keen runner and cyclist, almost always with friends or my dog. I also play tennis and enjoy my garden.

I have been an advocate for women’s health throughout my career. Starting with my first Menopausal Medicine Certificate in Australia in 1993, I returned to NHS General Practice in the UK and became a Family Planning Trainer, before completing the British advanced module of menopausal medicine and the Certificate of Gynae Ultrasound. Following that, I became an Advanced Menopause Specialist in 2016 and I now train other doctors in Menopausal Medicine.

Everything Menopause Co-Founder
I have been working as a GP in the NHS for nearly 30 years, helping women with all aspects of their healthcare at every point in their lives. I believe that many women struggle to get sensible scientific advice in the NHS at a challenging time in their lives, and I hope to help many women to get back to their former selves.
I have worked in the NHS since 2005 and practice as a GP partner and trainer with a specialist interest in women's health. I am a British Menopause Society recognised Advanced Menopause Specialist. Alongside this, together with Sally, I am proud to have co-founded Everything Menopause. My passion lies in menopause care and education, in helping women to successfully navigate the changes in their health and wellbeing during this time. I am an accredited mentor and coach and use these skills to support newly qualified doctors and frequently integrate this practice into my patient care. I also educate and train medical students and junior doctors in my NHS role.
In addition to my menopause qualifications, I hold the Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health, the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and the Associated Certificates to allow coil and implant fittings. I have also completed Dr Louise Newson’s Confidence in the Menopause course.
Establishing Everything Menopause has been an enormous achievement for us and I find sharing the journey with our ladies to be hugely rewarding. It is heart warming when our ladies return improved and feeling like themselves again.

In my spare time, when not a teenage taxi driver, I enjoy Pilates and cycling with friends and I can sometimes be found treading the boards of the local amateur dramatic productions.

I graduated over 20 years ago and headed for General Practice where I have developed a special interest in women's health. I am very used to offering women advice on all aspects of menopausal health, gynae and contraception, regularly fitting coils and implants. As a GP partner and trainer, I also teach medical students and junior doctors regularly on women's health issues.
I am a British Menopause Society recognised Advanced Menopause Specialist and have also completed the Principles and Practices of Menopause Care Certificate and the Newson Confidence in the Menopause course.
I have witnessed first-hand the negative impact the menopause and perimenopause can have on the health and quality of life for women, and I am passionate in supporting my patients in this potentially challenging time, ensuring they have access to the most accurate information and evidence-based medicine, to allow them to make an informed choice.

I have worked as a GP in the NHS for 13 years, initially in London where I completed my GP training, before settling in Hampshire in 2013. As part of my life as a GP I am involved in the teaching and training of both medical students and junior doctors.
I have a special interest in women's health, with particular experience of offering contraceptive and general gynaecology care. I am particularly passionate about the management of menopause and helping to support women through this time of their lives, and the challenges it can bring.
