This is a comprehensive in-depth consultation exploring your history, your symptoms and how the menopause is affecting you. We will provide up-to-date evidence-based information about all suitable lifestyle and treatment options which we will discuss together to find the best options for you. For those women choosing HRT, we prescribe body-identical HRT as supported by NICE guidance and the British Menopause Society.

These consultations are for those patients who have had an Initial consultation with us and are either due their 3 month follow-up to check how they are getting on and review their medication, or for their 12 month annual review. Patients may also request follow-up appointments at any other time if they wish to discuss any new or ongoing issues.

For existing patients that require a short telephone call to discuss blood test results, ask questions or to just check in with one of our doctors with any other concerns. Please contact us to check if a catch-up call is appropriate and for us to arrange an appointment for you.

For most women blood tests are not required since the diagnosis of the menopause is a clinical one. There are however some circumstances where blood tests can help support other diagnoses and changes to medication doses. For existing patients we can arrange blood tests at the Wessex Nuffield or via our other partnering labs that are located in multiple locations across the UK. Our doctors will discuss this with you and organise if necessary.
